The new Disturbed CD, titled Indestructible shows a Disturbed that is even more polished and driven than the one we knew and loved in Ten Thousand Fists. The songs are absolutely relentless in a way they've never been before. There are no new tricks in this album, but there is a definite development of old ones. They've gotten really good at implementing rhythms that contrast with the meter. They do this better in this album than they ever have yet to this point. David's voice has been developing more and more into an instrument, rather than merely a means to put words to music. His voice has always been an integral part of their overall sound in a way that is rarely accomplished by rock bands (or any kind of musical group for that matter) because of his perfect pitch and because you can hear several overtones which makes his voice blend in well with the electric guitars and bass. This album is not anything new for these guys, but it is part of a continued improvement to what they already have, which has been pretty steady throughout their careers (with the possible exception of their second album, Believe, which mostly sucked (except, of course, for the songs Prayer and Rise, which are arguably their two best originals to date)). So expect more of the same from this album, but expect it to be better than ever.
